Description
The PW219 series is designed to be the backbone of industrial fluid management. It is a measurement and control component that bridges the gap between a simple sensor and a complex controller. By integrating pressure measurement and programmable switching into a single unit, it reduces the complexity of your control architecture.
Adaptability Across Industries
Whether you are monitoring pressure in a water treatment plant, managing loads in the power industry, or requiring the sterile precision of the medical sector, the PW219 adapts. Its ability to utilize various pressure-sensitive cores means it can handle everything from clean water to mildly corrosive industrial fluids with long-term stability.
User-Centric Design
The interface features a clear 4-digit display complemented by action LEDs that indicate the status of each switch point. This allows for immediate visual diagnostics at the machine site. With a compensation temperature range from -10°C to 70°C and a robust IP66 housing, it maintains accuracy even in fluctuating environmental conditions typical of Swiss industrial facilities.
Features
-
Multi-Sensor Compatibility: The PW219 is unique in its ability to be equipped with different sensing cores (Silicon Piezoresistive, Ceramic, or Sapphire). This allows us to customize the switch perfectly to your medium’s chemical properties.
-
Up to 4 Switching Points: Unlike standard switches that offer only one or two thresholds, the PW219 can manage up to 4 sets of switching signals, allowing for complex tank level or pump cascade control.
-
Programmable Digital Correction: Featuring advanced signal conditioning, the PW219 eliminates non-linearity and provides a stable, corrected industrial signal (4-20mA, 0-10V, etc.).
-
On-Site Adjustability: Field-setting of parameters is simple via the front panel keys. Users can freely set setpoints and delay functions without external equipment.
-
Hygienic & DP Options: Available in specialized versions, including a hygienic flush-diaphragm model for the food/medical industry and a differential pressure (DP) version.

FAQ
1. What is the advantage of having different sensor cores (Silicon vs. Ceramic)? The PW219 is designed for maximum media compatibility.
-
Silicon cores offer the highest precision and are ideal for clean gases and oils.
-
Ceramic cores are extremely resistant to aggressive chemicals and mechanical wear.
-
Sapphire or Sputtering films are used for high-stability requirements in medical or high-pressure power applications. We help you select the “internal heart” that best fits your specific fluid.
2. Can I really control 4 different pressure points with one device? Yes. Unlike standard switches that only offer an “Open/Close” function for a single limit, the PW219 can be configured with up to 4 independent switching outputs. This allows you to manage complex tasks—like starting multiple pumps in a sequence (cascade control) or setting different alarm levels (Warning -> Critical -> Emergency Shut-off)—using only one process connection.
3. Is it possible to have both a switch and a continuous signal (4-20mA)? Absolutely. You can order the PW219 in a “Hybrid” configuration. This provides you with switching outputs for local safety/control and a standard 4-20mA or 0-10V analog signal to send the data to your central PLC or SCADA system.
4. How do I set the switching points in the field? Setting the parameters is straightforward and requires no external tools. Using the three-key interface on the front panel, you can enter the programming menu to set the upper and lower limits, the delay time (to prevent “flickering” from pressure surges), and the N/O or N/C logic.
5. Does the PW219 support vacuum measurements? Yes. The series supports ranges starting from -0.1 MPa (Full Vacuum). This makes it a perfect choice for vacuum pump monitoring or leak detection systems in the medical and laboratory sectors.
